Mystic Dan (18-1) won the 150th Kentucky Derby in a photo finish on Saturday.
This is the first time in 28 years that the Kentucky Derby has been won by a nose, and the 10th time in history.
Truck Phantom (41-1) and Just Steel (21-1) led the way until the 3/4 mile mark, with 3-1 favorite Fierce taking third place. But Mystic Dan stayed inside right behind them.

Mystic Dan, ridden by Brian Hernandez Jr., broke through the pack after the final turn. After the turn, Fierceness fell far behind.
Mystic Dan led by several lengths on the final straight, but second favorite Sierra Leone (9 wins, 2 losses) crept up from the outside and pushed Japanese horse Forever Young towards the railing.
These three horses were a stone's throw from each other, but it was Mystic Dan's horse that crossed the line first.
Sierra Leone was second, Forever Young was third, and Fierceness was 15th, 24 and a half lengths behind.

This year's race was less controversial than last year. In the days and sometimes hours leading up to last year's race, more than a dozen horses lost their lives at Churchill Downs.
Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert was absent from this year's race, with his two-year suspension extended to 2024, making it the third consecutive year that a Baffert-trained horse did not run in the Kentucky Derby. It became.
Baffert, a six-time Derby winner, was suspended after 2021 Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit was stripped of his title after failing a post-race drug test. The horse died of a heart attack in December of the same year.
