Ed Sheeran has explained that he won't be releasing any new music this year.
The singer-songwriter has revealed that he is focused on touring and has no plans to release any new music this year.
Ed, who attended the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Gala at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, told People that he is working on new music, but it won't be released for a while.
“There won't be anything coming out this year,” he said of new music. “I'm enjoying touring. I released two records last year on tour, but it's a lot to release a record while touring. So I've been making new music and just sitting on it for a while. I’m going to spend a little bit. “
Last May, the singer released her sixth studio album, “Subtract.'' Four months later, in September, he released another album, “Autumn variations''.
Ed, 33, is currently touring the United States as part of a 117-day math tour. The trek is scheduled to begin in April 2022 and end in September this year.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Eyes Closed hitmaker said his daughters Laila Antarctica, 3, and Jupiter, 2, approve of his music.
Asked if his children listen to his music, Ed replied, “Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.” “I don't play a lot of old songs at home, so it's mostly new songs.”
He added, “I think it's very strange to just post my discography, so they know most of the new songs I'm working on, because I play them a lot.”
Ed shares daughters with wife Cherry Seaborn, whom he married in 2019.
