Zendaya hasn't given up on the idea that she might eventually revive her music career.
The Challengers star recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and was asked about the music he's released in the past.
“I love music and it's special to me,” Zendaya told host Jennifer Hudson. “I don't think being in the music industry has taken away the enjoyment of music, but it's when you combine music and business. Sometimes it just doesn't feel that great.”
Zendaya released her debut self-titled album in 2013, which included the hit single “Replay.” And while she's prioritized her acting career over her music in recent years, she teased that when the “right time” comes, she might also release something. .
“If the right moment comes, I like to create things for myself, so if I have that moment, maybe I'll put something out a little bit,” the Euphoria actress told fans. said before reminding him: “Don't get mad! You'll see, but maybe someday.”
Although she hasn't released any music of her own in recent years, she has collaborated on songs with other artists, including Labrinth, who composed the music for the hit HBO show Euphoria.
Elsewhere in her interview with Hudson, Zendaya also talked about her surprise appearance on Labyrinth's set at Coachella last year, where she performed “I'm Tired” and “All for Us.”
The Dune: Part 2 star described the musician as “very talented” and “an amazing person”, but revealed that he initially turned down an offer to perform at the music festival. “He asked me if I wanted to come out and perform, and right away I thought, 'Oh, absolutely not.' I thought, 'I can't do that,'” Zendaya said. Looking back, he said he had too much “stage fright.”
“I have bad memories of performing live as a kid,” she explained, but added that she eventually convinced herself to do it because “you can't run away from this situation forever.”
Coachella ended up being Zendaya's first live performance in over seven years.
