Watch Ariana Grande stalk Penn Badgley in 'The Boy Is Mine' music video

Whether you're just your average guy or a pop superstar with a reported net worth of $500 million, there's one thing we can all agree on: Penn Badgley is super hot.

So says Ariana Grande in the video for her new song, “The Boy Is Mine,” a six-plus minute video that not only casts the YOU star as a charming young mayor presiding over a Gotham City-esque municipality, but also features R&B stars Brandy and Monica, who released their own hit in 1998 that inspired the track of the same name on Grande's “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.”

The new video, directed by Christian Breslauer, opens with a garbage man being attacked by trash-dwelling rats, followed by Grande preparing an aphrodisiac for Mayor Max Sterling (Badgley) as the news plays on TV. News anchors Brandy and Monica express their high hopes for the newly elected Mayor, who promises to eradicate the city's rat problem by unleashing a pack of hungry stray cats. “So good,” Grande murmurs at the TV. “So hot.”

Grande, who worships at the altar of a Max Sterling-themed doll, embarks on a mission to deliver a love potion to the mayor while donning an outfit not too dissimilar to Catwoman's: a shiny black leather minidress, a sheer patchwork turtleneck, and a lightweight black hat adorned with kitten ears.

Once she tracks down the mayor, Grande tries to get him to drink the elixir, but the mayor refuses. Instead, Grande gently lifts the mask off his face and throws the bottle at the wall. After all, it didn't take a magic concoction to make Sterling fall in love!

Badgley isn't Ariana Grande's only recent internet boyfriend to appear in her on-screen life: The pop star previously cast Evan Peters to play an ex-lover in her video for “We Can't Be Friends,” which was released on March 8.
