Day 1 of Ultra Music Festival 2024 has been canceled due to inclement weather.

Organizers posted an announcement saying, “In the interest of safety, Ultra Friday is temporarily canceled” as thunder and lightning storms and high winds hit the Miami area, where the festival is held at Bayfront Park in the city's downtown. did. Please quietly exit the park now. ”

The announcement was made around 9pm local time on Friday (March 22), just before Dutch producer Hardwell was scheduled to perform on the festival's main stage. The closure forced the festival to end three hours early, and sets by Fischer and Chris Lake, who performed as Under Construction, Armin van Buuren, Amelie Lens, Joris Vaughan and Kolsch, were also canceled due to the weather. “Disappointed not to be able to perform in front of you tonight at Ultra,” Lake wrote on Instagram. The festival resumes on Saturday (March 23) and is scheduled to extend until Sunday (March 24). The weather forecast for Miami on Saturday calls for thunderstorms until 3pm local time, followed by partly sunny skies on Sunday.
