Swift took to X to share a preview of her upcoming music video. The video includes dramatic scenes of the duo searching for files, hugging each other on an empty street and tossing chairs, and the clip features Swift staring into the camera with smokey eyes and her iconic Switch to something. red lips.
“At this hearing, I will stand before my colleagues in the Tortured Poets Department and outline my findings,” the singer captioned the post, adding that the video was released on Friday (April 19) at 8 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Earlier in the day, Swift confirmed on Instagram that “Fortnite” will be TTPD's lead single. “The first single from The Tortured Poets Department is……. Weekly Feature [Post Malone]” Swift wrote in the caption of a post that appears to be the single's cover art. “I'm a big fan of Post because he's a writer and his musical experiments and the melodies he creates are forever haunting. When we worked together on Fortnite, I was able to witness the magic come to life firsthand.”
“Fortnite” is one of two collaborations from The Tortured Poets Division. Grammy-nominated alternative rock artist Florence and the Machine appear on the album's eighth track, “Florida!!!” The new single also marks Swift and Malone's first collaboration.
