Have you ever heard new music and wanted to listen to it over and over again? Do you sometimes put on the right headphones and have the right settings? Here's what Still Corners created with “Dream Talk” That's what this writer had to do to enjoy it to the fullest.
Created by Tessa Murray and Greg Hughes, this musical project was born to be thoughtful and romantic, while also providing a sense of comfort to the listener. That was the main objective, and even though the two creators met by chance at a train station, they created tracks like “Turquoise Moon” that flaunt their talent and love for destiny.
Captivating vocals and guitar riffs, that's the best way to describe the duo's new body of work. It brings a nostalgic feeling and at the same time allows the listener to know more. That's really something to be admired.
“Dream Talk” is a cocktail of emotions, the ingredients of which are the various elements of the album. Whether “Today Is The Day” offers a versatile spirit that feels varied and captures the moment, or whether this cocktail's soda water is a quality production, this album is here to stay.
Some artists create albums for themselves, while others create beautiful moments that stay with their listeners for a lifetime. That's what Still Corners has done with this body of work.
After many iterations of the 10-song production, it became clear that songs like “The Dream” and “Secret World” were meant to exceed their intended purpose. In fact, this whole album is more of a journey. This is a journey where anyone can temporarily escape from the world and be transported to somewhere else with mesmerizing vocals.
Regardless of the location, I and many other listeners were able to escape, even if only for a moment, from our worries, take a breather, and listen to this beautiful album.
