'SNL's' Colin Jost jokes about his wife's body

The season finale of “Saturday Night Live” ended on a high note last night, featuring the traditional joke-swapping segment on “Weekend Update.”

Hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che felt awkward when they were forced to read jokes written by the other.

A little further into the corner, Jost realized he had to give his wife, Scarlett Johansson, a shout-out: “Oh my god.”

“ChatGPT has released a new voice assistant feature inspired by Scarlett Johansson's AI character in 'Her.' I never bothered to look, but without that body, what's the point of listening? Because we don't have one,” Jost said sheepishly.

In the 2013 film, Joaquin Phoenix plays a man who falls in love with Samantha, an AI device played by Johansson. Although we don't see her in the film, her voice can be heard throughout.

A representative for Johansson did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Unfortunately for Jost, making awkward comments about his wife seems to have become commonplace. In preparation for his final show in 2023, Jost was also forced to roast his wife of four years.

“New York state now allows alcohol sales in movie theaters,” Jost read at the time. “Now I can finally enjoy his wife's little art film,” he said as a photo of Johansson from the Marvel movie “Black Widow” appeared on the screen.

Jost continued reading with displeasure, “You're kidding, honey. I love all of your movies. And in my opinion, you're better than Coretta Scott King in 'Black Widow.' “Yes,” he said, shrinking down.

In 2020, Jost had to make some sarcastic remarks about his wife's controversial casting history.

Johansson first caused controversy in 2017 when she played a role based on a Japanese anime character in Ghost in the Shell. The following year, it was announced that Johansson would be playing a transgender man in Love & Tug. After huge backlash, Johansson canceled the project.

“It has been announced that 'Creed' singer Scott Stapp will be playing Frank Sinatra in an upcoming movie. But the good news is that Sammy Davis Jr. will be played by Scarlett Johansson.” Jost said on live television, shaking his head.
