Rita Ora in no rush to release new album – Music News

Rita Ora is working on her new album “song by song.”

The 33-year-old singer has been busy working on the sequel to her 2023 album, You and I. You and I was her third studio album and peaked at number six on the UK albums chart, but she hinted that fans may have to wait a little longer before hearing the new collection.

She told The Sun's Bizarre column: “The album is going really well. I'm taking it song by song to be honest.”

“I don't know if it will be completed this year, but the great thing about my label is [BMG] “I have time and they're really calm.”

She continues to provide fans with new music, having recently released the single “Ask And You Shall Receive.”

Her latest album, 'You And I', was heavily inspired by her relationship with Hollywood star Taika Waititi and their upcoming wedding in 2022.

But she hopes to move on from it as a source of inspiration and find a different spark for her music instead.

She explained: “I'm kind of bored of it now. [as inspiration].

“I want to evolve my music and have fun and do what makes me feel good.

“If it doesn't make me feel good, I don't do it. And I've found that to be very liberating.”

“Ask And You Shall Receive” was co-written with Ray and Rita recently described the song as a “full circle moment.”

She said: “The song is full of bright, summery vibes and is about being romantic and seizing the moment and falling instantly in love with someone special.”

“This song was co-written with the amazing Ray and I have so many great memories of being on the road with him on the Phoenix tour, so it really feels like it's all over.”

Rita's new music video was shot in a 24-hour laundromat in Los Angeles, and the concept was inspired by the iconic 1985 Levi's commercial starring Nick Kamen.
