Sean Kingston was arrested in California on Thursday in connection with a search that took place at a Florida mansion earlier that day.
“This evening, police in Fort Irwin, California, arrested Kisean Anderson, aka Sean Kingston, without incident, on an arrest warrant issued by the Broward County Sheriff's Office for multiple fraud and theft charges,” spokeswoman Carrie Codd told Fox News Digital.
“Investigators say he will be booked into a prison in San Bernardino, California.”

Broward County Sheriff's Office officers and Davie Police SWAT members executed a search warrant at Kingston's Southwest Ranches residence on May 23, Public Information Officer Carrie Codd told Fox News Digital.
Kingston's mother, Janice Turner, was arrested early this morning at her South Florida home.

“Following an investigation that began in the City of Dania Beach, on the morning of May 23, detectives from the Broward County Sheriff's Office Dania Beach District, along with members of the Broward County Sheriff's Office Strategic Investigations Unit and Davie Police SWAT, executed an arrest and search warrant at a residence in Southwest Ranches,” Codd said in a statement.

“As a result of the investigation, an adult female, Janice Turner, was taken into custody on numerous counts of fraud and theft.”
The department said the investigation is “active and ongoing.”

A representative for Kingston did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

On the same day, Kingston posted on her Instagram Story, “Y'all love the negative energy! Me and my mom are doing great! My lawyers are handling everything right now.”
Kingston, whose real name is Xean Paul Anderson, rose to fame with his debut single “Beautiful Girls” in 2007. Since then, he has collaborated with Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj.

In 2011, Kingston was nearly killed in a jet ski accident in Miami when the watercraft he was riding crashed into a bridge in Miami Beach. He reportedly suffered a broken jaw and wrist, fluid in his lungs and was hospitalized for three weeks.
After a three-month investigation, authorities concluded Kingston did not understand basic boating safety procedures.
