Apart from the charges in Mr. Bragg's criminal case against the former president, Mr. Trump faces dozens of charges in three other jurisdictions.
Special Counsel Jack Smith indicted the former president on charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States. Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding. Obstructing or attempting to interfere with an official proceeding. and conspiracy against rights.
The charges stem from Smith's months-long investigation into whether President Trump was involved in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot and alleged interference in the 2020 election results.
Mr. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments on April 25 regarding presidential immunity and whether Mr. Trump is immune from prosecution against Mr. Smith.
These charges were filed in federal court in Washington, D.C.
Separately, Smith was investigating whether Trump improperly kept confidential records from his time at Mar-a-Lago.
Smith indicted Trump on 37 felonies, including knowingly retaining national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and making false statements.
Mr. Trump was also indicted on an additional count of intentional retention of national defense information and two additional counts of obstruction as part of a superseding indictment not covered by the investigation.
Mr. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The charges were filed against Trump in federal court in the Southern District of Florida.
In Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis was investigating allegations of 2020 election interference.
In August 2023, Willis indicted Trump on one count of violating the Georgia RICO Act, three counts of criminal abetting, six counts of criminal conspiracy, one count of filing false documents, and two counts of making false statements.
Mr. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
