President Trump slams Judge Marchand after witness testimony in New York City criminal trial concludes

Former President Trump is facing an unprecedented trial in Manhattan, facing 34 felony charges for falsifying New York business records.

As the court proceedings enter their fourth week on Monday, President Trump has repeatedly complained that the case not only took him away from his campaign but also from his family.

A member of Trump's family, his son Eric Trump, also attended the trial. Eric Trump was present on April 30, and his father and son were seen speaking in court before the day's proceedings began.

Trump's youngest son, Barron Trump, was the focus of the trial from the beginning, with Trump asking the court to allow him to leave Manhattan on May 17 to attend his son's high school graduation in Florida. Presiding Judge Juan Mercian initially resisted the request, but ultimately agreed to allow Trump to attend the ceremony, citing the importance of attending the court every day.

The former president also repeatedly posted on social media and spoke to the media about his family during the trial, including when he was with his wife, Melania Trump, to celebrate her birthday on April 26. It also included lamenting not being able to be there.

“I want to start by wishing my wife, Melania, a happy birthday,” President Trump said outside court last month.

“It would be fun to be with her,” he added.

Trump also posted a photo of himself with his three grandchildren during the trial.

The former president has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the case, but has denounced the trial as a “fraud” promoted by the Biden administration in the run-up to the 2024 election.
