Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was interrupted by anti-Israel students during a speech in Britain on Thursday. Her protest group also called her a “warmonger.”

As former House Speaker Pelosi began her speech at Oxford University's Oxford Union, a student quietly stood up and walked to the front of the room. He then presented a Palestinian flag and turned to face the audience, blocking the 84-year-old California congressman's view.

“Warmongers like Nancy Pelosi are not welcome on college campuses,” Youth Demand, which took credit for the protest, later wrote to X, who shared a video of the protest.

The post also warned that the group's protesters were “not playing around anymore.”

The student, who was apparently with a colleague, was booed and told to sit down by the crowd who realized it was a protest.

Despite the chaos, Pelosi continued to speak and appealed for peace in Gaza.

On Monday, Pelosi visited University College Dublin in Dublin where she was presented with the Sutherland Leadership Award. During her visit, students staged a protest outside the university.

The suspension comes as hundreds of students at elite US universities have formed anti-Israel encampments on campus. The demonstrations are also violent and anti-Semitic in nature, calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, after the war between them has left tens of thousands of Palestinians dead.
