Paloma Faith opens up about marriage breakdown in new memoir – Music News

Paloma Faith has opened up about the breakdown of her marriage in her new memoir.

The singer revealed in her upcoming autobiography, Milf: Motherhood, Identity, Love and F**kery, that she hadn't been single since she was 13 and was “terrified” of being alone.

Paloma split with artist Rayman Racine, 36, in 2022 after nine years in a relationship. The couple have two daughters, ages 7 and 3.

“I've never been single. My first relationship was when I was 13 and it lasted three years,” wrote Paloma, 42. “The longest I've been single was nine months and even then I was cheated on.”

“I'm now single and a mother of two children who had a failed relationship with their father and then two failed attempts at romance.”

She went on to explain that she had never been able to imagine herself outside of a romantic relationship.

“I was convinced that I was scared of being alone,” Paloma admitted. “I was convinced that I would not feel fulfilled unless I belonged to a couple, a team, a unit.”

The “The Only Love Can Hurt Like This” singer also revealed that she struggles with the glamorous side of fame, especially celebrity partying.

“Some of these events have really made me feel self-doubt and anxious,” Paloma wrote.

“Sometimes I dress up and get away from my kids for a night, but more often than not I'm hiding in the bathroom texting my true friends how I really feel.”
