At 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 7, Brattleboro radio station 96.7 FM WTSA will launch a new program, “Listen Local.” His one-hour show airs weekly and is available as a podcast at wtsaradio.com. While the focus will be on bands and artists from Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, the show will also spotlight touring artists who make their way through area clubs.

Hartford-based actor and singer-songwriter Tommy Crawford will release his new single “Mountain Song,” inspired by his love for his adopted home of Vermont, on Thursday, April 11th. .
In a press release, Crawford said the song was “taken from the pages of children's albums by folk heroes like Woody Guthrie and Doc Watson…I encourage parents to share these songs with their children. I would love for them to sing, but I would be just as happy.” It's a song that inspires people of all ages to go hiking, camping, and singing along to the melodies of nature. ”

Burlington rapper Mavstar released “Adamantium (feat. D. French & Conflict)” on March 22nd. The smooth, slow-burning jam features Mavstar's easy flow, complementing the more aggressively pressed Conflict and D. French bars, all sprinkled with Burlington samples. Clint Eastwood movie “Dirty Harry”.
Mavstar has been a fixture in Vermont's hip-hop scene since dropping The Meltdown in 2012. He never stops evolving as his MC, and “Adamantium” shows the confident, lyrically fluid rapper is ready to release the best work of his career. .

säje, Higher Ground Showcase Lounge, South Burlington, Sunday, March 31: I don't know the official criteria yet, but according to the laws of the kingdom, I'm not a Vermonter. But in my 22 years of post-Mahall bliss in the Green Mountain State, I've seen the rise of many names, from Anais Mitchell to Grace Potter to Noah Kahan. Vermont is an unassuming factory star. My theory: It's the school system's fault for supporting music. Recent Grammy Award winner and Mount Mansfield Union High School graduate Erin Bentlage of säje is in town with her band for an Easter night show at Higher Ground, and basically… became a reunion of MMU music programs. Alumni were well represented in the local scene. Members of Cricket Blue, Andrianna & the Bananas, and Black Fly, as well as solo performer Avery Lavoie, were in the front row. Caleb Pillsbury, Erin's high school choir teacher and MMU choir director, was also in the house. The band itself was great. The four-part harmonies were angelic and made the hairs on my arms stand up many times during the set. Although they were not born here, they proudly represented Vermont.
