It has been six months since hundreds of concertgoers were killed in a devastating terrorist attack at the Nova Music Festival in October 2023. In the attack, Hamas militants invaded the event at sunrise during an electronic dance music festival for the Jewish holiday Simchat Torah.
The remains left behind are currently on display in New York City as part of a moving, immersive exhibition titled “Nova Music Festival Exhibition: October 7th at 6:29 a.m.,” which opens on Sunday (4 It will be open to the public from April 21st.
The installation includes debris salvaged from the festival grounds, including a burnt-out car, a bullet-riddled bathroom stall, and leftover personal belongings. Additionally, there is a healing tent and a lighthouse with the proclamation “We will dance again.” The New York exhibit also includes video testimonies from survivors, volunteers, and family members, as well as live footage taken from both festival attendees and Hamas militants on October 7. Donations from the exhibition will go to Nova Healing Journeys, an initiative to support mental health treatment for victims of the October 7th massacre and their families.
