Madonna is facing a new lawsuit over her Celebration Tour.
The “Material Girl” hitmaker has been sued by fans with several complaints, including that she was subjected to unwanted exposure to sexual content during her performance at Kia Forum in California on March 7 as part of her latest world tour.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, plaintiff Justin Lipelez filed the lawsuit against Madonna on behalf of himself and everyone who purchased tickets to the concert in California.
Lipelez has sued the hitmaker and promoter Live Nation on six counts of breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false advertising, negligent/culpable infliction of emotional distress and unfair competition.
According to the outlet, Lipeles claimed that Madonna and Live Nation “deliberately and deceptively concealed” important information about the show.
Lipeles said she arrived at the concert venue hours early due to a lack of information and thought the show would start at 8:30 p.m., but Madonna didn't take the stage until just after 10 p.m.
The “Like a Prayer” singer allegedly ignored fans' complaints about the heat during his performance and urged them to take off their clothes.
Lipeles also alleged that the singer lip-synced during the show and that audience members were “forced to watch topless women onstage imitating sexual acts.”
“Madonna's decision to make audiences wait for hours in a hot and uncomfortable arena and then expose them to unannounced pornography demonstrates wanton disrespect for her fans,” the lawsuit argues.
Lippeles argues that he and the other concertgoers are entitled to damages for breach of contract due to the delayed start time. He also seeks pre- and post-judgment interest, court costs and reasonable attorneys' fees.
The lawsuit comes on the heels of the Queen of Pop being sued by fans after shows in Washington, DC and New York City began hours later than scheduled.
