Lenny Kravitz has revealed that he hasn't been in a serious relationship for nine years.
The 60-year-old music icon revealed that he plans to remain single until he finds the right partner.
“Yes, it's a mental thing,” Rennie said of the lifestyle choice in a new interview with The Guardian.
The “It Ain't Over 'til It's Over” hitmaker added that he would love to be in a relationship but isn't sure if it will work out.
“I became very set in my ways, my way of life,” he admitted.
The rock singer was previously married to actress Lisa Bonet, with whom he has daughter Zoe Kravitz, 35. The pair married in 1987 but divorced five years later in 1993.
Elsewhere in the interview, Renee spoke about an experience when she was 13 years old, when a woman in her 20s propositioned her for sex.
“Yes, she did, but it's not …” he said. “In today's world, it's certainly abuse and assault. This girl saw this teenager and thought, I'm cute, I'll do it to him. Any boy would have taken that opportunity and enjoyed it immensely.”
The musician said he stopped the woman because he had a girlfriend, adding: “She thought it was hilarious when she asked, 'Do you have a girlfriend?'”
“So she quit. I don't want to speak for everyone, but for a lot of kids, it's a dream come true,” Renee continued. “But for me, it's not what I wanted.”
