Famous rock group Kiss has reached a deal to sell its catalog, brand name and other intellectual property to a Swedish entertainment group for more than $300 million.
The buyer, Pophouse Entertainment Group, worked with Kiss last year to create digital avatars of Kiss members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer during a performance at New York City's Madison Square. It was first performed on stage during the band's farewell tour. Garden in December.
Pop House CEO Per Sundin said the company is also planning experiential projects such as a Kiss biopic, documentary and Avatar show scheduled for 2027. The company also said it wanted to introduce Kiss to a younger generation of fans.
“Even though we own the rights to the artists, we're working with Universal and Kiss, and we're working with Kiss,” Sundin said.

Bassist and lead singer Gene Simmons told the Associated Press that Kiss is certainly “working hard with these guys.”

“We talk all the time. We share ideas. It's a collaboration. Paul.” [Stanley] And I'm going to give it my all, especially with the band. It’s our baby,” he said.
Simmons also said the band has no intention of touring again.
“I'm not going to tour with Kiss anymore,” he said. “We're not going to go out wearing makeup.”
