Kesha sent a message to Sean “Diddy” Combs during his Coachella performance.
The singer appeared as a surprise guest at Renee Rupp's Coachella set on Sunday afternoon.
She took to the stage to perform her 2009 hit “Tik Tok.” However, she changed her first line to “Wake up in the morning like Fuck P. Diddy.” In a video she posted online, she can be seen giving her middle finger, as well as other musicians in rap and bands.
The song's original lyrics are, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy.” The rapper-turned-mogul also contributed to the song, saying, “Hey, what's up?” In response to the lyrics. (The second line of the song is, “Grab your glasses, get out the door and go to town,'' to which he replies, “Let's go.'')
This isn't the first time Combs has changed the song's lyrics since the allegations against her came to light. In November, during the L.A. stop of her Only Love Tour, she changed the opening line to “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.”
The show came a day after singer Kathy Ventura settled a lawsuit accusing Combs of physically and sexually abusing her for more than a decade.
More lawsuits from women alleging rape and sexual assault followed.
And in February, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, the producer behind Combs' recent Grammy-nominated album, accused the mogul of harassment and human trafficking.
According to multiple media outlets, Combs' 26-year-old son, Christian, was also charged with sexual assault in the lawsuit against Combs.
And last month, Combs' homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by the Department of Homeland Security. He also lost several brand deals and resigned as CEO of Revolt, the television network he built.
