Jungkook's “Never Let Go” tops this week's new song poll.

Music fans picked the BTS star's solo song as their favorite new song from a week full of hot new pop tunes in a poll published Friday (June 7) by Billboard.

Jungkook's new song received a whopping 79% of the vote thanks in part to a strong show of support from the BTS ARMY, with voters this week choosing “Never Let Go” over new songs from Sabrina Carpenter, Zach Bryan feat. Noeline Hoffman, Charlie XC Abrams, Thames, and Lay.

BTS star Jungkook is getting sentimental with his single “Never Let Go,” the first new solo song fans have heard since the release of his 2023 debut album “Golden,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart last year. According to HYBE, the new song is dedicated to BTS's beloved supporters, affectionately known as ARMY, and conveys “a sincere message of never letting go of each other.”

“Oh, every day I wonder if this is all a dream,” Jungkook sings on the sweet tune. “Everything's fine because you're here/Without your love I'm nothing/You mean more than I know/When you're close I'm speechless/I tried to put it into words but it wasn't enough/My pen and paper were never enough/It's true, it's true/We have something real that nothing can destroy.”

Jungkook and fellow BTS members Jin, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V are currently serving in the South Korean military, which requires all able-bodied males to serve 18 months by the age of 28. During BTS's hiatus from working together during their military service, various solo projects have been released.

Following “Never Let Go” in this week's poll were Sabrina Carpenter's new single “Please Please Please” with 8% of the vote, Zach Bryan and Noeline Hoffman's “Purple Gas” with 3% and Charlie XCX's album “Brat” with 2%.
