Jess Glynne and ALOK hope their collaboration will be the background music of people's summers.
The “Rather Be” singer, 34, and the Brazilian musician, 32, shared the catchy anthem, “Summer's Back.”
“I've always loved this song and its bright, bouncy melody. It's a classic, timeless song and I'm honored to be able to recreate it for today's new generation of music fans,” said Alok, whose full name is Alok Acker Pérez Petrillo.
“Working with Jess was amazing – she has an incredible voice and I can't wait to see the reaction when we perform this song at festivals this summer. I hope this song brings everyone great joy, dancing and lots of new summer memories.”
Jess hopes that 'Summer's Back' will bring people as much “joy” as her 2015 summer smash 'Hold My Hand'.
She added, “It makes me so happy when people tell me that 'Hold My Hand' reminds them of summer. There's nothing better than having a song that reminds you of good times, so here's another song for everyone to enjoy this summer! Thank you to ALOK for letting me be a part of this song.”
Chart-topper Jess, who is dating former Lioness Alex Scott, 39, released her first album in six years, JESS, in April and says she hopes her work will help the world see “who I really am” after feeling like she has been “misunderstood”.
She explained: “I feel like I've been misunderstood, and I don't think that's something I want to continue in my career.”
“I want people to listen to my records and understand where it comes from and who I am.”
