GWU is one of many universities across the country whose student spaces have been occupied by anti-Israel protests, usually in the form of tent encampments. The students camped out on GWU's campus, one of the school's few green spaces on its urban campus in Northwest D.C.
“If you're going to skip class (if you're actually a student), why not volunteer to help in Gaza?” asked Ross. “With so many Israelis being called up for military service, many Jewish Americans are going to help provide scarce labor on Israeli farms and kibbutzim. If you really want to help, you can really make a difference. What if you went to a place where you could bring something to the table for the people you profess to support? ”
The professor also told students, “As the sign says, 'Resist by any means necessary,' we support rape.”
“You support gender inequality and lack of LGBTQ rights,” she wrote. “You are supporting a designated terrorist organization. Your call for an intifada revolution is a call for more innocent lives to be lost.”
