Gustavo López establishes new company Globalatino Music Partners

Gustavo López has launched a new “full-service” multimedia entertainment company, Globalatino Music Partners, Billboard announced. The venture will provide label services, artist management, publishing, distribution and touring, according to a press release.

Globalatino is partnering with Alejandro Reglero (previously Executive Vice President/GM of Saban Music Latin) to launch a new in-house record label, ReLo-Co Music. GUAU Talent Connect is an in-house division led by Augusto that specializes in brand partnerships. Mendoza and Strat-Viz will oversee strategic marketing and content creation, with Rodolfo Rodriguez heading up that department.

Lopez also partnered with TuStreams and Warner Music Latina for distribution and marketing strategies for selected artists. And he acquired a “majority” stake in Sigol Music, the label home to Colombian hitmaker Blessed.

“Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most important artists in Latin music and have achieved great success in a variety of genres, from reggaeton to Mexican music. We are united in our support,” Lopez said in a statement. “More recently, working with entertainment visionary Haim Saban has further strengthened my lifelong commitment to artist development. The announcement comes three months after Virgin Music Group acquired Saban Music Latin's catalog. Lopez served as CEO of Saban Music Group, which was founded by entertainment mogul Haim Saban in 2019, for five years, and later oversaw the creation of Saban Music Latin in 2022.

Prior to joining Saban, Lopez was the longtime GM and executive vice president of Universal Music Latin, where he launched Machete Music, a Latin urban label with artists such as Wisin & Yandel and Don Omar, and managed Universal Music Latin Entertainment's Mexico region. I also ran a label, Fonovisa. And Disa. After leaving Universal in 2017, he started an independent music company, Talent Uno, which was acquired by Saban.
