Darren Waller has chosen to deal with his divorce by releasing music about it.
The New York Giants tight end and WNBA star Kelsey Plum jointly filed for divorce on April 23, just a year after their marriage, according to online court records.
Waller has always been creating her own music, and last week announced the release of a new song titled “Who Knew (Her Perspective).”

“Creative writing has always been a mirror for me to grow and heal, so I'm sharing with you a song I wrote for myself,” Waller wrote in an Instagram post announcing the track.
“On February 3rd I felt a strong conviction that I had to do something different. I had never written a song from someone else's perspective before. Putting myself in the shoes of those closest to me and taking an honest look at myself is incredibly rewarding (and very humbling). All that can result is growth,” he wrote in another post.
Well, the song was released last week and the music video was released on Thursday.

The video shows Waller and a woman believed to be playing Plumb, sitting across from each other on a bench in a vacant lot, and then getting into an argument in the road as the woman drives.
Towards the end of the video, the couple is seen embracing each other on the beach, but the woman is seen stabbing Waller in the back with a pocket knife, and Waller is then seen lying on the shore with waves crashing into his face.

Waller, who was playing for the Las Vegas Raiders at the time, and Plumb were married on March 4, 2023. A few days later, Waller was traded to the Giants.
Earlier this year, Waller addressed breakup rumors after posting a video on TikTok that suggested the couple was heading for a split, which he denied in an interview with TMZ Sports in January.
Plum hinted at divorce while talking about a “tough” offseason.
“I mean, I think everybody knows. It's pretty public. But for me, I'm so grateful. I think my faith has grown so much, and not only that, but I know who I am. It's like being refined by fire,” she said earlier this month.
Fox News Digital has reached out to Plum's representatives for comment on the video.
