Geri Horner is referring to herself by her maiden name, Geri Halliwell, in a new video amid the ongoing scandal surrounding her husband, Christian Horner.
The Spice Girls star referred to herself by her maiden name in a social media video for French fashion house Dior.
“Bonjour! I'm Geri, Geri Halliwell,” she said at the beginning of the video, which means “Hello! I'm Geri, Geri Halliwell.”
The video sees Jerry learning about Dior's history with Scotland ahead of the brand's runway show at Drummond Castle in Crieff on Monday 3rd June.
Geri, who took the surname Horner after marrying Christian in 2015, had recently been calling herself Geri Halliwell Horner, a name she also uses on social media.
Her name change comes after the Red Bull Formula One boss was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a female team employee earlier this year. He strongly denied any wrongdoing and an investigation found no wrongdoing. The accuser has reportedly been suspended with full pay and is currently appealing the decision to exonerate Christian.
At a press conference in March, Red Bull's team boss called for an end to the incident and thanked his “wife for her support.”
“I'm very grateful to have a great family and a very supportive wife, and I'm the only person named in this,” Horner said, according to CBS Sports. “So, of course, it's very difficult. When it involves kids and family and parents, that's not a good thing.”
“Enough is enough of the violations against my family. We need to move forward. Of course, there has been so much coverage about this matter, but we need to get back to basics, which is that a complaint was filed, investigated and dismissed.”
Geri and Christian have a seven-year-old son called Montague, and both have older daughters from previous relationships.
