Eminem named top artist at Glastonbury 2025 – Music News

Eminem is expected to headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury next year.

Co-organiser Emily Eavis has reportedly tried and failed several times in the past to get the rap icon to perform at the world-famous music festival, but insiders claim Shady's epic comeback could persuade the 'Lose Yourself' hitmaker to headline Worthy Farm in 2025.

A source told The Sun's Bizarre column: “It's been a long time coming but after years of trying, Emily may finally get her wish.”

“Nothing has been decided yet, but with his return progressing well, it's only natural that he will be making big headlines next year.

“I'm sure everyone behind the scenes wants things to work out.”

Eminem recently topped the charts with “Houdini” from his upcoming LP, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace).

This global hit features several Eminem classics as well as the Steve Miller Band's “Abracadabra.”

The video takes fans back to the promotion of “Without Me,” recreating moments from the iconic 2002 music video with guest stars Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Pete Davidson.

Eminem returns to the trademark bleach blonde hair he was known for earlier in his career.

The hip-hop star shared the news of the new album while attending the 2024 NFL Draft in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan on April 25.

He appeared with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell at the start of the annual player selection meetings, where a trailer was circulated in which a fake reporter announced the death of Eminem's alter-ego Slim Shady.

“The complex, much-maligned, tongue-in-cheek, blonde antihero named Slim Shady had no shortage of enemies,” they say.

Fellow rapper 50 Cent said, “He's not a friend, he's a psychopath.”

The reporter continued, “Those same vulgar lyrics and controversial behavior may have ultimately led to his demise. Join us on our journey as we recreate the events that led to Slim Shady's murder.”

In March, Dr. Dre confirmed that his song will appear on Eminem's next album.

“Let me explain right now,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

“Eminem is working on his own album that's due to be released this year, and I actually spoke to him and he said it would be fine for me to announce it on the show.

“The songs are on it and it's great. I'm actually going to listen to the whole album for the first time tomorrow. He hasn't heard it all yet because he keeps his music close to his heart. I haven't listened to all the songs I've written but I will and I have an album coming out this year.”
