Ed Sheeran says Olivia Rodrigo has no songs he can skip – Music News

Ed Sheeran is a huge fan of Olivia Rodrigo.

The “Shape of You” hitmaker said there are no “skippable” songs on the 21-year-old Grammy winner's two albums, 2021's “GUTS” and 2023's “SOUR.”

Appearing on the “Therapuss With Jake Shane” podcast, Ed, 33, was the first to praise Britney Spears' 1998 classic “…Baby One More Time” as the best debut song by any artist.

He said, “I think '…Baby One More Time' is in the top two or three greatest songs of all time.”

The “Perfect” singer has covered the song many times.

The redheaded superstar then went on to praise Olivia.

He said of her albums, “BOTH GUTS and SOUR are must-listens. As records, they're just great records.”

Ed recently revealed that he gave Justin Bieber his hit song “Love Yourself” after his friends dismissed it as “meh”.

The song became a historic chart-topper for his friend Justin, 30.

Speaking to fans during a break from his concert at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Ed said: “This is a song from when I was writing 'Divide.' I was writing a bunch of songs about a bunch of different things, but I wrote this song and, honestly, I played it for people and I was like, 'Meh.'”

Ed played it for Justin, who asked for it, and “I said, 'Great, give me this,' and it just got so big.”

Justin's cover of “Love Yourself” topped the Billboard Hot 100 Year Chart in 2016, making him the youngest artist in the magazine's history to reach number one on the chart.

This success led Ed's friends to ask why he donated it in the first place.

He reportedly told them: “You guys told me it wasn't good.”
