Doja Cat and Post Malone will headline this year's Global Citizen Festival.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Doja, Post, Jelly Roll and Rau Alejandro will headline this year's annual charity festival.
The event, which will take place on September 28th on the Great Lawn in New York's Central Park, is an annual music festival organized by the Global Poverty Project.
The festival will be hosted by Global Citizen Ambassador and actor Hugh Jackman, and will also feature UN Messenger of Peace Jane Goodall and Global Citizen Festival curator and Coldplay star Chris Martin.
In a statement released Tuesday, Doja said she was “thrilled” to be working with the organization.
“It's been a few years since I last took to the stage at the Global Citizen Festival in Paris, but I'm thrilled to be joining forces with Global Citizen again in Central Park this September to take action in whatever way I can to make the world a better place,” the rapper said. “We all have a role to play in ending extreme poverty and standing up for equality, and I look forward to being part of this major event to effect positive change.”
Hugh also said he was “thrilled” to be returning as host of the festival.
“As a long-time supporter of Global Citizen and its mission, I am thrilled to return this fall as host of the Global Citizen Festival,” he said. “For more than a decade, Global Citizen has driven action to save nearly 1.3 billion lives around the world. We will come together again on September 28th to work to end extreme poverty, protect the planet, and demand fairness.”
The Greatest Showman star added, “I can't wait to meet you all on the Great Lawn in Central Park and join us in advocating for change for the world's most vulnerable communities.”
Performers at last year's festival included BTS' Jungkook, Lauryn Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Conan Gray.
