Dave Grohl fears Taylor Swift's 'wrath' over concert sarcasm – Music News

Dave Grohl has criticised Taylor Swift's upcoming tour, admitting he fears “incurring her wrath”.

The Foo Fighters frontman performed at the London Stadium with his band on Saturday night (22.06.24), while Taylor was headlining at Wembley Stadium on the other side of London that night as part of her 'The Erasu' tour, with Dave joking with the crowd about the pop star.

He said, “I was just joking about Taylor Swift's tour. I know she's on the Eras Tour. I'm telling you, you don't want to incur Taylor Swift's wrath.”

“That's why we're calling the tour the 'Errors Tour' because I think we've had some eras and we've made a lot of crazy mistakes. Only a couple of them. Because we're actually playing live. You know what?”

He then added, “I just want to say, you guys love raw rock and roll? You've come to the right place.”

However, Dave certainly seemed to anger Taylor, as she hit back at his comments the following Sunday (23 June 2024) during their third gig at Wembley Stadium, cheering on the band for “playing live” throughout the entire show.

She told the crowd: “What you all just did is an unforgettable moment, not just for me, but for all of us in the crew. We're a band that's going to be playing live for you guys tonight for three and a half hours.”

“They truly deserve this award, as do all my co-stars, and you all have been so generous in giving it to us. We will never forget.”

Foo Fighters will continue their UK tour with shows at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on June 25 and Birmingham's Villa Park on June 27.

Taylor's tour will return to Wembley Stadium next month for further shows.
