Country singer Zac Brown sues ex-girlfriend over Instagram post – Music News

Country singer Zac Brown has sued his estranged wife Kelly Yazdi over an Instagram post.

The lead singer of the Zac Brown Band claims that posts on his page violate a non-disclosure agreement and damage his reputation.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the singer requested a temporary restraining order forcing Yazdi to delete the posts in question.

He claims that doing so will prevent his ex-girlfriend from making false, defamatory, and harmful statements against him.

The Instagram post in question has not been disclosed.

Yazdi, who married Brown in August 2023, described the feelings of someone dealing with “narcissistic abuse” in a series of posts earlier this month.

“Her love was always unconditional. She thought he was too…but over time it became clear that he only knew conditional love. His healing… A trauma that is not present is expressed through a desire to be domesticated,'' she wrote, sharing a video of herself taking a dip in a pool.

Referring to several control strategies, she wrote: “Don't model anymore. Delete this photo from Instagram. Don't wear it around the house. Don't post that bikini photo. Don't post any more fitness videos.”

Yazdi's caption continued: Gaslighting. It's threatening. Obstruction. They are elements of narcissistic abuse. ”

Yazdi and the Chicken Fried singer got engaged while vacationing in Hawaii in 2022.

A birthday tribute video to Brown in July 2022 showed Yazdi wearing a dazzling stone on her ring finger.

The two walked down the aisle in a private ceremony in Georgia in August 2023, but announced their separation four months later.

“We wish each other well and will always be grateful for the time we spent together,” the estranged couple said in a statement to Page Six at the time.
