CNN legal analyst Ellie Honig said the cross-examination of adult film actress and Trump trial witness Stormy Daniels after her testimony against former President Trump was a disaster.
Honig said Daniels' testimony that she had sexual contact with Trump in a hotel room in 2006 was “plausible,” but her answers during cross-examination by Trump's team cast doubt on its reliability.
“Her reaction was devastating,” Honig said, referring to the moment Daniels admitted she hated President Trump.

“That's a big deal,” Honig said.
President Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 charges of first-degree falsification of business records. The charges stem from a years-long investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. The charges relate to alleged payments made before the 2016 presidential election to keep Daniels quiet about an alleged affair with President Trump in 2006.
“If a witness hates someone whose freedom is at stake, that's a big deal!” Honig said. “And she's tweeting fantasizing about him being in prison. This really undermines credibility.”

Daniels has made multiple posts about Trump on social media, including one in which she said she would “go to jail” before Trump “pays a dime”.
“The fact that she owes him $500,000 on a court order means she owes Donald Trump $500,000 and says, 'I'll never pay him.' The defense will say, “She's willing to pay.'' She's not going to comply with the court's orders, so why is she going to honor her oath? So I think he did a pretty bad job on cross-examination,” the analyst said.
“I think the cross has really sunk in,” Honig added.
