Cinq Music has acquired the music catalog of hitmaker Flow La Movie, Billboard has announced. The late producer's strong catalog includes reggaeton smash hits “Te Boté” and “La Jeepeta,” the former of which spent 14 weeks atop Billboard's Hot Latin Songs in 2018. This is the first catalog acquisition in almost three years since Flo La Movie (real name Jose Ángel Hernández) passed away in 2018. In 2016, Flo launched his own record label, where he nurtured then-up-and-coming artists Nio Garcia and Casper Magico. According to Cinq Music, both singers will participate in catalog sales, with help from Glad Empire (an indie label distributor) through their Flo La Movie estate, which is currently managed by their daughter Keigerian Hernandez. , this catalog sale is now possible. The deal also comes after a complex legal battle over contracts and music related to Flo La Movie, with an international settlement agreement legally naming Hernández as the sole representative of her father's estate. and ended in 2022.
