Cher has warned that she will speak her mind when she is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year.
The music legend, who has been producing hit songs for almost 60 years, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Music Museum in Cleveland, Ohio in October.
The appointment has been long awaited, and Scheer has hinted that he plans to vent about the delay when he attends the ceremony in 2024.
Appearing on Entertainment Tonight this week, the Believe singer said, “I have words to say, and I'm going to embrace them as me.”
She credited her musical contemporaries for helping her get into the Hall of Fame, saying, “My friend and the greatest person ever, (record executive) David Geffen, and (Thin Lizzy guitarist) John・Thank you to Sykes.”
Last December, Cher slammed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for not recognizing her career and accomplishments.
Spitting on Kelly Clarkson's show at the time, she was furious and said: – itself…I changed music forever with Believe. ”
She was nominated four months later.
Other major stars will also be attending the 2024 ceremony, and Cher will be in good company.
The upcoming event will feature singer Mary J. Blige, bands Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Foreigner, hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest, musicians Peter Frampton and Black. Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and others will also be honored. Saturday, October 19th.
