The upcoming 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class includes Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Mary J. Blige, A Tribe Called Quest, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, and more. Includes superstar artists.

Fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Lionel Richie and Ryan Seacrest announced their inductions during Sunday's American Idol. The icons will be officially anointed as rock 'n' roll royalty on October 19th during the 39th annual induction ceremony at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. It will be streamed live on Disney+.

Cher, Osbourne, Foreigner, Frampton and Kool & the Gang all appeared on the ballot for the first time to receive this honor. Osbourne is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the second time. He joined Black Sabbath in 2006.

The prestigious event will also honor Jimmy Buffett, Dionne Warwick, Norman Whitfield and the MC5 with Musical Excellence Awards. Big Mama Thornton, Alexis Korner and John Mayall will receive the Musical Influence Award. Suzanne de Passe will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Last year, the Rock Hall welcomed Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, Willie Nelson, George Michael, Sheryl Crow, Rage Against the Machine and the Spinners to the Class of 2023.

Of the 15 artists nominated for this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, artists who did not make the cut include Mariah Carey, Eric B. Rakim, Sade, Jane's Addiction, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, and Sinead O'Connor, who passed away last year.

The 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be broadcast as a special on ABC at a later date and will be available on Hulu the day after the live ceremony.
