CATONSVILLE — A Baltimore County music store is searching for a man who stole a $2,200 electric guitar from the store over the weekend. Bill's Music in Catonsville posted about the robbery on Facebook on Sunday.
The entire incident was captured on a surveillance camera inside the store.
The incident happened within minutes. Once inside the store, the robber can be seen looking around at the store's selection of electric guitars.
He slowly approached the customer who was trying out the guitar and eventually picked up another guitar that was next to the customer.

Then he quickly walked out of the store.
“We saw it happening,” said Brian Higgins, the store's general manager. “It's almost shocking. You can't believe someone would jump out so brazenly… But some of them are a little bit desperate and determined.”

Mr Higgins said things were stolen from time to time, but never in such a brazen manner.
Although the store will be fine financially, Higgins said it was heartbreaking that it happened.
“We have cameras everywhere. We control everything very closely. But when that happens, it's like being punched in the gut,” Higgins said. .
By the time the robber grabbed the guitar and left the store, he had been caught on at least six different cameras.
Several store staff chased him outside and found a getaway car waiting.
Higgins says he'd like his guitar back, but he really just wants the suspect caught.
“Frankly, it's more important that we get this guy so this doesn't happen to anyone else,” Higgins said. “It would be great if we could get the guitar back, but that's kind of secondary to us.”
A police report has been filed, but Higgins said the robbers are free to call the store.
“The best thing to do is call us and get your guitar back,” he said. “We hope that whatever problem you have, we can help you solve it.”
