Carly Pearce diagnosed with heart disease – Music News

Country music star Carly Pearce has been diagnosed with a heart condition.

The Every Little Things singer posted a video to Instagram on Wednesday, revealing that he's been struggling with some recent health issues.

“I have always been transparent and honest about all aspects of my life and I feel I should be just as honest about this,” she began. “As many of you know I have had health issues which have caused me to develop a heart problem called pericarditis.”

Pericarditis is inflammation of the lining around the heart. The main symptom is chest pain.

Carly, who has been receiving treatment from doctors and cardiologists, said she plans to continue performing but will make some changes to her upcoming shows.

“I still want to be on tour, and that's really important to me, but we've all decided that it's in my best interest to modify the show a little bit while I'm recovering,” the 34-year-old continued. “So if the show looks a little different, please know it's because I have to control my heart rate right now. It doesn't mean that I'm not completely okay, it just means that I have to take this seriously now.”

Elsewhere in the video, Karlie urged her followers to see a doctor if they're concerned about their health for any reason.

“I'm a young, healthy person who eats well and exercises well and this happened to me,” she added. “So I want to use my platform to tell people to take care of your body, listen to your body and know that if your body is trying to tell you something, it will.”

The Kentucky native will be releasing a new album titled “Hummingbird” on June 7th.
