RM has released the music video for “Groin,” a song off the BTS star's new album, “Right Place, Wrong Person.”
On Monday (May 27), RM shared a clip for director Penacky's “Groin,” which sees the singer and rapper dancing and rapping in the street while wearing a dark Adidas track jacket.
The three-minute video follows the release of RM's second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” which was released on Friday (May 24) and topped Billboard's latest weekly new release poll, which features artists across a range of genres.
“Right Place, Wrong Person” features 11 new songs for fans to enjoy in between BTS' mandatory military service.
Led by the dreamy single “Come Back to Me,” the album also includes alternative-based tracks “Nuts,” “Heaven,” and “LOST!.” Overall, the project is “an unvarnished and honest expression of RM's unique sensibility, aesthetics and beliefs,” according to a Big Hit news release, and follows the Korean artist's 2022 debut album, “Indigo,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Right Place, Wrong Person features collaborations with British rapper and singer Little Simz (“Domodachi”) and singer and guitarist Moses Sumney (“Around the World in a Day”). “Come Back to Me” was written by RM and features guest musicians OHHYUK from Korean band HYUKOH and Kuo from Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster on guitar and bass, as well as singer-songwriter JNKYRD and San yawn from Balming Tiger.
RM and his BTS bandmates Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook are currently serving in the South Korean military, which requires all able-bodied males to serve 18 months by the age of 28. Several of the members have been working on various solo projects during their military service, with the full band planning to reunite for a band performance in 2025.
