Bruce Springsteen cancels show due to 'vocal issues' – Music News

Bruce Springsteen has postponed four shows on his European tour due to vocal problems.

The “Born in the USA” singer canceled a show scheduled for Friday, May 24 in Marseille, France at the last minute.

A statement released on Sunday said: “Following further examinations and consultation, after yesterday's show in Marseille was postponed due to vocal problems, doctors have decided that Bruce will not be performing for the next 10 days.”

The Boss also postponed their May 28 show in Prague and two shows in Milan in June.

“New dates for these shows will be announced soon,” Springsteen's team shared on Instagram.

“Bruce is recovering well and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their highly successful European Stadium Tour in Madrid on June 12th.”

The dates are part of Springsteen and the E Street Band's extensive 2024 world tour.

Springsteen has been forced to postpone most of his U.S. tour dates until late 2023 while he recovers from a digestive ulcer.

The painful ulcers left Springsteen unable to sing using his diaphragm, and the rock and roll legend briefly feared he would never perform again.

“My diaphragm was in so much pain that it was killing me to try to sing,” a recovered Springsteen told SiriusXM's E Street Radio at the time.
