Billy Joel wrapped up a historic 10-year run at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Thursday.
The music icon began his residency in January 2014, performing at the venue once a month for the next 10 years, and his final show on Thursday marked his 150th career performance on the arena's stage, setting a new record for the venue.
To mark the occasion, talk show host Jimmy Fallon joined Joel to present him with a banner celebrating his 150th performance at the New York venue.
“Congratulations,” Fallon said. “We love you. New York City loves you. The world loves you. You've given us all such wonderful memories here, and now we get to watch you make memories. You'll never forget this night here.”
Joel's two youngest daughters, Della, 8, and Remy, 6, also took to the stage to join him in singing his 1978 hit “My Life.”
The “Piano Man” hitmaker also took to the stage with Guns N' Roses star Axl Rose, as the pair performed Wings' “Live and Let Die” and AC/DC's “Highway to Hell.”
Joel continued playing a number of his hits, including “Uptown Girl,” “Only the Good Die Young,” “Piano Man,” “It's Still Rock and Roll to Me” and “We Didn't Start the Fire,” before inviting Axl back onstage for the final song of the night, “You May Be Right.”
The 75-year-old Joel will travel to the UK in August for a stadium gig with Chris Isaak in Cardiff, Wales, before heading to North America for a string of headline shows alongside Rod Stewart and Sting.
