Ariana Grande is already back in the studio.
Just two months after releasing her latest chart-topping album Eternal Sunshine, the pop superstar posted a cryptic snap from her “happy” place, the studio.
She posted a black and white photo of her mixing desk on her Instagram Story, captioning it simply: “Happy.”
Is the 'We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)' hitmaker returning to the recording booth for more solo material or for the 'Wicked' movie? It has not yet been confirmed whether this is part of her contribution, but it was done after her recent celebration. Her grandmother earned her place in history after she became the oldest person to have a hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Ariana named her “nonna” Marjorie Grande as the singer and writer for the LP's song “Ordinary Things,” which made history when it debuted at No. 55.
The 30-year-old singer and actress, who is set to star as Glinda in the Wicked two-part film series, posted a photo of Marjorie posing with a plaque commemorating her achievements on Instagram, writing: “Celebrating… ' with the caption. The one and only beautiful Nonna made history as the oldest person to appear on the @billboard Hot100.
“We love you and we appreciate you.”
This feat makes Marjorie the oldest person to appear on the chart since its inception in 1958.
She broke the record set by the late songwriter Fred Stobaugh, who was 96 years old when his song “Oh Sweet Lorraine” debuted at No. 42 on the Hot 100 in 2013.
Stobaugh died three years later.
In “Ordinary Things”, Marjorie is heard talking about her late husband Frank and giving love advice.
She was heard saying: “And when he came home and I saw him, and when he came home and I saw him, he was the first one off the train. When I got off.
“It felt like God Almighty came down. It was like seeing the light of day. 'Cause I could have packed up and left a million times. You know what? We never fought. It's not like it didn't happen. You can get over it.
“You know what? It's that simple. And like I told her, never go to bed without kissing me goodnight. That's the worst thing ever. Don't do that. And then… If you can't, and if you do, you don't feel good doing it, you're in the wrong place, get out.”
