It was a big night at the ACM Awards for Laney Wilson. She opened the show with a bang and ended the night by winning the coveted 'Entertainer of the Year' award.
Wilson opened the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards with a cover of Little Texas' 1993 hit “God Blessed Texas” and his own version of “Hang Tight Honey.”
The singer applied for four awards this year and won three. It continues her hot hand against ACM. In 2023, she became the artist with the most nominations and the most trophies.
Reba McEntire hosted this year's Academy of Country Music Awards, broadcast live on Prime Video from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
Entering the show, Luke Combs led the way with eight nominations, followed by Megan Moloney and Morgan Wallen with six nominations each.
In the largest category, Entertainer of the Year, Warren, Combs, Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Laney Wilson competed for the title.
