50 Cent slams Sean Diddy Combs' apology video – Music News

50 Cent has slammed the “insincere” apology video released by Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

Diddy posted a one-minute apology video on Instagram after footage surfaced of him assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel room in 2016.

“My actions in that video are inexcusable,” he said. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. It's disgusting.”

He spoke of how he was at “rock bottom” at the time, claiming he had to “seek professional help, start going to therapy and rehab, and ask God for mercy and grace.”

50 Cent, who has had a long-standing feud with Diddy, was quick to question his motives.

“This isn't going to work. Who's giving him advice now?” the In Da Club rapper wrote on Instagram. “SMH is bad behavior.”

He's not the only big name to speak out against Diddy's apology video.

Aubrey Day, a former member of Diddy's 2005 group Danity Kane, has long criticized her former mentor.

“Diddy didn't apologize to Cassie,” she pointed out in X. “He apologized to the world for seeing what he did.”

Kathy's attorney, Meredith Firetog, agreed. “When Kathy and several other women came forward, he denied everything and implied that the victims were looking for a payday,” she said in a statement. “His attitude shows that he had no choice but to 'apologize' only after his repeated denials were proven to be false.” His words are pitiful and hopeless. No one will be upset. ”
