The CW will broadcast K-pop music festival KCON LA 2024 live on Sunday, July 28 at 8 PM ET/PT.
KCON is a three-day festival celebrating K-Pop, with a variety of fan activities and live performances throughout the day, culminating in a massive three-night concert produced by CJ ENM. The festival will take place from July 26-28 at the LA Convention Center, Gilbert Lindsay Plaza, and Crypto.com Arena.
“We are thrilled to partner with The CW to broadcast KCON LA 2024's exciting M Countdown live on primetime television nationwide,” said Harry H.K. Shin, head of music entertainment at CJ ENM. “This historic broadcast is a testament to the incredible community of K-pop fans that have made these groups a global sensation.”
KCON began as a one-day event in Irvine in 2012 and has evolved into a global platform celebrating K-pop and Korean culture. The event series has also been held in Hong Kong, Japan and is set to return to Germany for the first time on September 28th and 29th.
The hosts for M Countdown will be Rowoon (Friday, July 26th), Jeon Somi (Saturday, July 27th) and Kim Soo Hyun (Sunday, July 28th).
The lineup for M Countdown on Sunday, July 28, includes I-Land 2, Jeon Somi, NCT 127, Stayc, Zerobaseone, and Zico.
Other artists performing throughout the festival weekend include Bibi, Boynextdoor, Ini, Kep1er, P1Harmony, Taemin, Jo Yuri, NMixx, TWS, Drippin, Apoki, Dxmon, Pow, Craxy and many more.
