SXSW Sydney has beefed up its music program for its second edition by adding 30 more artists.
Artists from Australia, Aotearoa, Korea, India and many other countries will be coming together at SXSW Sydney this October. The event's programming team, Reg Harris and Ruby Miles, selected the artists from over 1,200 submissions.
Announced today, 30 new artists will be performing music at SXSW Sydney 2024, including rising Auckland rap star Brandon Shiraz, Australian rock band A. Swayze & The Ghost and Western Australian musician Noah Dillon.
They join the ranks of Auckland dream-pop band Phoebe Rings, Australian surf-rockers The Grogans, Sydney punk rock band The Viz, cult shoegaze artist RINSE and historic Indonesian band Voice of Bacheplot.
The lineup also includes Heartbreak High multi-artist Ayesha Madon, up-and-coming rappers J-MILLA and Yung Milla, and Colombian psych-rock trio BALTHVS.
Grammy-nominated British artist Jorja Smith is also set to perform at SXSW Sydney 2024 as part of her Australian tour.

Last year's inaugural SXSW Sydney featured rising stars such as Miss Kanyinna, Inkaby, Radio Free Alice and Molly Payton.
Rolling Stone AU/NZ had a strong presence at last year's SXSW Sydney through The Courtyard Presented by Rolling Stone, which they hosted in collaboration with Jim Beam, bringing four days of great live music and fun to the event.
Each day, avid music fans flocked to Ultimo's Powerhouse Museum beneath the Sydney skyline to enjoy a stellar line-up of over 20 artists and refreshing drinks.
The inaugural SXSW Sydney also featured a standout session by legendary Chicago rapper Chance the Rapper, celebrating 50 years of hip hop.
