Robbie Williams has reignited his feud with long-time rival Noel Gallagher.
The two singers have been feuding since 2000, when Noel, now 57, described Robbie as “that fat dancer from Take That” at the Brit Awards.
When Robbie performed in Hyde Park this weekend, a cardboard cutout of Noel was placed onstage, and videos posted by concert-goers can be seen Robbie patting the cardboard cutout on the head, seemingly making fun of Noel's height, before coming onstage and starting the show.
Robbie, 50, then went on to sing Oasis hit “Don't Look Back in Anger.”
Two years ago, the Angels singer reflected on his tumultuous relationship with Oasis, saying they were “incredible bullies” at the height of their popularity.
“That's part of my competitiveness. And they were also huge bullies to the whole industry, to everyone in the industry. I hated that. And a lot of that is still in my heart. They may be different people now, but there's a lot of feeling in my heart that, 'Those guys are f**king bullies. I hate bullies,'” he said.
Robbie has had previous relationships with both Gallagher brothers. In 1998, he was engaged to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton. The couple split after Nicole had an abortion and she went on to have a child with Liam, now 51. The pair later married but split five years later in 2013. Nicole and Liam's son Gene is now 22.
“The great thing about being an Oasis fan is that I get to be a fan when Liam releases a great album,” Robbie said in 2022. “The great thing about being upset with them is that when they don't, I'm happy. I'm a win for both sides. It's very genuine.”
