Havoc has announced that he is currently working on new music for Mobb Deep, including production from longtime collaborator The Alchemist.
On Monday (July 15), the Queensbridge native shared the news with his followers on Instagram, uploading a video of him hard at work with The Alchemist in the studio. “Rest in peace Prodigy,” Havoc captioned the video, as an instrumental presumably composed by The Alchemist blared from the studio's speakers. “You can see Al in the background and you already know what it is. Mobb Deep coming soon. Infinite.”
News of the announcement quickly spread on social media, with fans of the legendary duo rejoicing at the thought that not only would they hear new music from Mobb Deep, but they would also be treated to an unreleased verse from late group member The Prodigy.
“Mobb Deep's Havoc posted on Instagram that he's in the studio with Alchemist working on a new Mobb Deep song,” one social media user wrote. “So that means the Prodigy verse remains unreleased.”

However, few details have been revealed about Havoc and the Alchemist's future plans for Mobb Deep, including whether it will feature unreleased Prodigy material. But this latest development is a further hint that a new Mobb Deep album may be on the way, a project that has been hinted at for years since Prodigy's death in 2017.
A little over three years ago, Alchemist took to social media to proclaim that Prodigy and Havoc remain the best rap group in hip hop, teasing the upcoming release of new music from the duo. “Mobb Deep is still the greatest group of all time,” the hitmaker wrote in June 2021. “Maybe Havoc and Myself will be reminding us of that soon.”

Considered one of rap's greatest duos, Mobb Deep debuted with Juvenile Hell in 1993 and released a string of classic albums, including The Infamous in 1995, Hell on Earth in 1996, and Murder Music in 1999. The group's final studio album, The Infamous Mobb Deep, was released in 2014.
