K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE has released the music video for their new single “Klaxon.”
The new music video for “Klaxon” begins with the group stuck in traffic. Making the most of the situation, they hit the street and start dancing to the playful new song. They then drive to the beach and desert to enjoy a summer getaway.
“I love you, baby / Hey, look at me, lady / Honk the horn some more / Honk honk honk honk, honk / Honk the horn one more time / Honk honk honk honk, honk / Come on in, sweetie boy,” he sings in the chorus.
“Klaxon” is the lead single from (G)I-DLE's new mini-album “I Sway,” which was released at the same time. The song was written and composed by the group's leader and rapper Jeon So-yeon.
“I Sway” also includes “Last Forever” and “Neverland,” which were co-written and written by member Yuqi, and “Bloom,” which was co-written and written by Minnie. This mini-album is the follow-up to the full-length album “[2]'.
(G)I-DLE's previous work “[2]' features the singles “Wife” and “Super Lady.” The group also released a music video for the album cut “Revenge,” and another song from the album, “Fate,” emerged as a hidden hit in Korea.
In April, (G)I-DLE singer Yuki released a new solo mini-album, “YUQ1,” which features several collaborations, including “Drink It Up” with rapper pH-1, “Everytime” with (G)I-DLE bandmate Minnie, and “On Clap” with Chinese musician Lexie Liu.
Previously, (G)I-DLE collaborated with Jennifer Lopez on a remix of her single “This Time Around,” the original version of which appears on Lopez's latest studio album, This Is Me… Now, which was released in February to coincide with the film This Is Me… Now: A Love Story.
Earlier this year, Soyeon and Choi Yena made special appearances in BIBI's “Sugar Rush” music video, which was released in February alongside her hit single “Bam Yang Gang.”
