Trump's friends and foes condemn the shooting at the rally
Fox News correspondent Anita Vogel reports on the world's reaction to the assassination attempt on former President Trump and the increased security at Trump Tower in New York and the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
A number of prominent figures have offered tributes to former President Donald Trump after he was the target of an assassination attempt on Saturday.
Authorities said Trump was shot in the ear by a bullet fired by suspect Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Political leaders, sports legends and now several celebrities have commented on the horrific event.

“This is what a warrior looks like! This is my man,” country singer Jason Aldean wrote underneath a photo of a bloodied Trump pumping his fist in the air at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.[Donald Trump] We think [you] And I'm praying for you and your family. God has bigger plans for you, my friend, and I think we already know what they are.”
“My sympathies go to the victim's family, who will be the ones to pick up the pieces from the ashes of this despicable act,” he added.
Model, rapper and Republican National Convention chair candidate Amber Rose also posted the same photo to Instagram, writing, “Never stop fighting.”

Kid Rock
“If you're gonna fuck Trump, fuck me,” Kid Rock said in a video posted to social media. The singer, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, also posted a link to a GoFundMe page for victims of the shooting, which had raised more than $2 million at press time.
John Richie
“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and saves them” — Psalm 34:7,” John Rich wrote on his X account, quoting the Bible verse. “Somewhere there's an angel with a bullet hole in his wing. Thank you Lord for protecting DJT,” he wrote.
George Strait
In a video shared on TikTok, country music legend George Strait sings a song praising first responders following the assassination attempt that occurred during a concert in Detroit.
“Thank you for being there when we needed you, when we called. We really appreciate it, especially after today,” he said.
In response to Strait's remarks, the audience could be heard chanting “USA.”

Actor and director Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption, Mystic River, Top Gun) blasted those who compared the assassination attempt on President Trump to his 1992 satirical film, Bob Roberts, which follows the shooting of a conservative businessman who was running for Senate.
“For anyone comparing my film 'Bob Roberts' to the assassination attempt on Trump, let me be clear. What happened yesterday was a real attempt on the life of a presidential candidate. Those who deny it happened are completely crazy. A man was shot yesterday. A man was killed. They may not agree with you politically, but shame on you. Drop your blind hatred for these people. They are fellow Americans. This collective hatred is killing our souls and eating away what's left of our humanity,” he wrote to X.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino of “Jersey Shore” fame, who posed for a photo with former president and UFC founder Dana White at the event last month, wrote X, “Praying for our country.”
50 Cent
Curtis James Jackson III, known professionally as 50 Cent, shared a meme image in which he Photoshopped President Trump's face onto the cover art of his 2003 debut album, “Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.”
“Trump got shot and now I'm trending,” the rapper wrote to X.
The rapper recently said he believes Trump will be re-elected president in November.

Savannah Chrisley

Reality TV star Savannah Chrisley reposted several Trump-related posts to her Instagram Story, and shared a photo of Trump dressed as a Secret Service agent, writing, “I wouldn't give my life for it.”
