Rita Ora has revealed details of her secret wedding to Taika Waititi.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday, the British singer spoke about her marriage to New Zealand film director Taika.

During the interview, host Jimmy showed a photo of Rita performing on her wedding day with a man dressed as Elvis Presley, and asked, “Was there an Elvis impersonator at your wedding?”

The 33-year-old “Your Song” singer revealed that the performance was a “surprise.”

“But you know what was amazing about this moment? It was a surprise. I never wanted this to happen,” she explained, via Mail Online. “There was no plan. It was an impromptu wedding and it was so much fun.”

Rita continued, “So we were like, oh, what do we do next? So we booked a hotel and had a little party.”

The hitmaker then revealed that an Elvis impersonator opened the stage with a rendition of the King of Rock and Roll's 1969 song, “I'm Caught In A Trap.”

“The first song he sang was 'I'm Caught In A Trap,' and I was like, 'That's how we wanted to start, you know what I mean?' So they say I trapped my husband,” she joked.

Rita also revealed that comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish attended the impromptu party after the wedding.

“My best friend Tiffany Haddish was there and she was like, 'Okay, we're going to do this!'” Rita recalled.

Last year, Rita and Taika, 48, confirmed they were getting married in a secret ceremony at their Los Angeles home in August 2022. Since then, the couple have remained tight-lipped about the details of their surprise nuptials.

Brian Eno documentary “Eno” opens in cinemas – Music News

Film First and Tigerlily Productions are thrilled to bring Eno, filmmaker Gary Hustwit's (Helvetica/RAMS) groundbreaking generative documentary about visionary musician and artist Brian Eno, to the UK this summer. The film will be different with each screening. Opening on Friday 12th July, the film will be screened in Picturehouse Cinemas nationwide, with a different version of the film hitting the screens each day.

Brian Eno has been at the forefront of musical creativity, technology and artistic innovation for the past 50 years. The highly influential British musician, producer, activist, visual artist and self-described “sonic landscaper” began his career in the early 1970s as an original member of the legendary band Roxy Music. Since then, Eno has released over 40 solo and collaborative records and pioneered the ambient music genre with his 1978 album “Ambient 1: Music for Airports.” As a producer, he has helped define and reinvent the sounds of some of music's most important artists, including David Bowie, U2, Talking Heads and Coldplay. He also composed perhaps the most listened-to song in the world, the startup sound for Microsoft Windows. There's no denying that Eno changed the way modern music is made.

Enriched with hundreds of hours of unseen footage and unreleased music, Gary Hustwit's documentary utilizes groundbreaking technology to achieve an unprecedented feat: a feature film that is different with every screening. Hustwit and UK-based creative technologist Brendan Dawes developed bespoke generative software to sequence scenes and create transitions from Hustwit's original interviews with Eno, and from a rich archive of hundreds of hours of unseen footage and unreleased music. Every screening of Eno is different, presenting different scenes, sequences and music, and is meant to be experienced live. Eno's generative, infinitely iterative nature resonates poetically with the artist's own creative practice, how he composes music using technology, and his endless, deep exploration of the mutable nature of creativity.

A UK-US co-production, the film marks the beginning of Hustwit and Eno's collaboration, dating back to 2017, when Eno composed the original music for Hustwit's film Rams, about German designer Dieter Rams. Hustwit said: “Much of Brian's career has been devoted to nurturing his own and others' creativity, not only through his role as producer, but also through our collaborations on projects such as Oblique Strategies Cards and the music app Bloom. I see Eno as an art film about creativity. It draws on the fruits of Brian's 50-year career. What I'm trying to do is create a cinematic experience that is as innovative as Brian's approach to music and art.”

Country music world shocked by legendary singer's death: 'Heartbroken'

The country music world is sending prayers to the Oak Ridge Boys following the death of longtime member Joe Bonsall on Tuesday.

Bonsall was 76 years old and died from complications from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The band posted an obituary on their X (formerly Twitter) account announcing his death.

“Joe was a member of the American musical group The Oak Ridge Boys for 50 years, a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and was inducted into the Philadelphia Music Hall of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame,” the post read.

Heartbroken fans were quick to respond with prayers and well wishes.

“So sad,” one person wrote. “I've seen the Oaks many times and Joe always put on a great performance – funny and captivating to the audience. So sad. May he rest in peace. Condolences to the family.”

“My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the band and his family. He will be missed,” he continued. “We know he's up in heaven singing his heart out.”

“My heart is broken,” another wrote. “Praying for his family, fellow musicians and all who loved him. #RIPJoeBonsall.”

Bonsall retired from touring with the band in January.

“I'm basically retired from touring now because I can't even walk,” he was quoted as saying. “It just got too difficult. It's been 50 amazing years. I want to thank the entire Oak Ridge Boys band crew and staff for all the love and support you've shown me throughout it all. I'll never forget, and I'm thinking of all of you who are always praying for me. Please keep them in your prayers.”

He returned to social media after his initial announcement to address his fans.

“I've been overwhelmed with the love that's been shown to me this week,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I feel like everyone I've ever known has reached out to me and many more. I can't express enough how grateful I am, but thank you so much.”

Laura Marling to release new album about family life in October – Music News

Laura Marling will release her deeply personal album, Patterns in Repeat, on October 25th.

The follow-up to 2020's 'Song For Our Daughter' was written after the birth of her daughter in 2023 and “sees Laura reflecting on patterns that occur within family groups.”

The press release continues: “The song is rooted in a very specific and revelatory time in her life, digging deeper into her awareness of the thoughts and behaviors we have endured through generations of our families.”

“This follows her highly acclaimed documentation of her 'senseless traumatic experiences and persistent quest to understand what it means to be a woman in our society.'”

In a lengthy statement, the 34-year-old folk singer-songwriter said of the collection: “I was happy to expect that I would put my life as a songwriter on hold for nine months while I adjusted to life as a new parent. How I rejoiced in the first few months of my baby's life to know I could play guitar all day while rocking him in a bouncer. For the first time in my life, I was able to look someone else in the eye while writing songs. Of course, every new parent feels like they've discovered that feeling. It's one of life's greatest sensations, to look into a child's eyes and feel the magnitude of the whole picture, the grandeur of a life that is divine, fragile, extraordinary, precarious, situated in the relatively mundane constellation of a family.” This constellation of the mundane seems to dominate the writing of Patterns in Repeat. The dramas of the home, the fragile ties that hold families together, the goodwill we have for our offspring, and the various ways in which they fade over time. There are so many complexities in the mundane, the enclosed, the everyday.

“I'm 34, 15 years into singing, and eight albums into my career, but there's no escaping the fact that each record has served as a written chapter in my life (some more like premonitions). After a youth spent desperately trying to understand what it meant to be a woman, I'm now at the top of the hill, with a whole new, grand vista surrounding me.”

The lead single, “Patterns,” is out now.

Other tracks include “Child of Mine,” “Your Girl,” “No One's Gonna Love You Like I Can,” “The Shadows,” “Caroline,” “Looking Back,” “Lullaby,” and the album's title track.

Laura will support the album by performing two intimate live residencies in London and New York.

She will be based at London's Hackney Church on November 29th, 30th, 1st and 2nd. Laura will also perform two nights at New York's legendary Bowery Ballroom on November 11th and 12th.

The Courteeners return with their first new song in four years – Music News

The Courteeners have released their seventh studio album, Pink Cactus Cafe, declaring, “This is the new us.”

The Manchester rockers have ushered in a new era with lead single “Solitude Of The Night Bus,” a song about “searching for spiritual clarity in solitude.”

The tongue-in-cheek song was written at a time when the band was suffering from imposter syndrome.

Frontman Liam Fray, 39, said in a statement: “This came at a time when we were really having doubts. Things weren't going particularly well. We had no confidence. We had no direction. So, I guess we're just whispering and moving in a fun direction. This is the new us. We've worked with Ora before. [Modupe-Ojo] “'Hanging Off Your Cloud' has that same irresistible magic in the room. A summer breeze. Or a winter night. Either way, sometimes you need to block out the noise. My late Uncle Pat loved to whistle, so this is a little homage to him. Get on the bus, put on your headphones, and make your way. This is the feel-good, imposter syndrome hit of the summer.”

The full record will be released on October 25th.

The album also features Australian rock band DMA's on “The Beginning Of The End,” Scottish singer-songwriter Brooke Combe on “Sweet Surrender” and indie star Pixey on “First Name Terms.”

It marks the group's first new music since their 2020 LP, More. Again. Forever.

In 2023, a reissue of their debut album, St. Jude, reached number one on the UK album charts.

It's always a pleasure to discover talent I've never heard of before, but Denise La Grassa is new to me and a real talent.
Her voice is rich, imbued with accents from all the places she's called home — Wisconsin, Chicago, Europe — and she writes songs that are blues-style but with vaudeville phrasing, reminiscent of Maria Muldaur in places but also blending with Joni Mitchell.
These songs are about more than typical blues themes: she touches on racism, social media, politicians, gun violence and more, all sung within a blues, and sometimes gospel, framework.

But above all, this is a musical journey, colorful and full of the best. Her vocals on “The Door” are rich and soulful, giving off a real stage musical vibe, while the background music brings her dark lyrics to the fore. The title track references America's “sundowntown” where non-whites were instructed to leave town before sundown, alluding to the racism and segregation still prevalent in many areas.

So it's not your typical love song, but on my favorite track, “Hope In Love,” with its gospel-inspired backing vocals, sharp guitar work and funky backbeat, he sings that love is “the reason we live/the reason we die/the reason we give,” and on “Loving For Love's Sake,” he sings, “If you're living in hell, hate is/Ain't loving for love's sake.”

New talent is always worth checking out, and this is a great album worth investigating.

Speaking at Ringo's annual Peace & Love Birthday Celebration at Beverly Hills Garden Park, the Beatles legend revealed what inspired the genre shift.

Starr praised Grammy Award-winning country icon T Bone Burnett, telling Fox News Digital: “I met him. [when] Olivia Harrison was reading poetry for George, and there was an audience of about 100 people, including him. [off and on] Since the 70s.

“He was like, ‘What are you doing?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m doing an EP. [extended play albums, which have more tracks than a single, but less than a record]We have people write songs and then we set them to music.”

Starr had written some pop songs, but said Barnett's song was “definitely one of the most beautiful country songs I've ever heard, so I thought, 'Let's do a country EP.'”

However, when he spoke to Burnett about making more songs, he revealed that there were in fact nine songs, so Ringo said, “I thought let's make a real CD, so I went back to make a CD.”

In an interview with Variety earlier this year, Burnett offered similar praise for Star.

“He's a really great singer. People didn't take Ringo seriously as a singer because he was in the same band as two of the greatest singers in rock and roll history,” Burnett told the outlet.

“You just listen to all the country songs he wrote – 'What Goes On,' 'Act Naturally,' 'Honey Don't.' He wrote a lot of really great country music, even during his time with The Beatles. And, you know, they call him Ringo Starr because that's a cowboy's name. He wanted to be a cowboy when he was a kid.”

“Like all of us back then, we all always wanted to be Gene Autry. He asked me to write him a song, and I wrote a Gene Autry-esque song for him called 'Come Back.' That's kind of the beginning of my songwriting craze, and I'm still writing songs all the time.”

“That means Ringo's third effort deserves a full-blown album. … I want to make a classic Ringo Starr country record. I think I can do it.”

As Burnett hinted, the new album isn't Starr's first foray into country music: In 1970, he released his second solo album, “Beaucoups of Blues,” which was full of country and western influences.

The star turned 84 on Sunday and, as he has for the past 16 years, celebrated the occasion at Ringo's annual Peace & Love Birthday Celebration.

When asked about the celebrations and why there is still no peace in the world, Starr replied: “It takes time. I can only facilitate it. I don't have the power to end it. But things are getting better.”

Jocelyn Walters, a 14-year-old triathlete from New Jersey and a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan, committed suicide on September 9, 2022, after enduring months of harassment and bullying from her peers.

Now Jocelyn's parents, Fred and Solangy “Solly” Walters, are suing the Middletown Township School District, the Board of Education and other defendants, including Jocelyn's teachers and a nurse at a local psychiatric clinic, alleging that they failed to take appropriate steps to prevent the 14-year-old girl from taking her own life.

The lawsuit also names as defendants 10 John Doe and Jane Doe who “harassed, threatened, bullied and otherwise abused Jocelyn.”

“Jocelyn was the student everyone wanted. She was the teammate everyone wanted. She was the player everyone wanted. She was always there. First on the field, last off,” Fred Walters told Fox News Digital.

By the time she entered high school in 2021, Jocelyn had dreams of studying law at the University of Notre Dame, but those dreams were dashed when she faced intense bullying and harassment from other students, both in person and online.

“Jocelyn's suicide occurred after a prolonged and relentless pattern of harassment, intimidation, bullying and abuse against her that took place during and after the 2021/2022 school year at the high school,” the lawsuit states. “The repeated pattern of abuse occurred despite Plaintiffs and others making ongoing and repeated similar complaints to the Board/District and Board Defendants.”

The lawsuit alleges that the bully, identified only as JM, tormented Jocelyn by sharing her personal information, taunting her on private social media web pages, excluding her from group chats, cutting out her face from photos posted on social media and attempting to isolate her from her friends and boyfriend.

“The high school, the board/district and the Board Defendants were aware of this conduct but did nothing to protect Jocelyn from harm,” the lawsuit states.

Fred Walters said he had hosted Jocelyn's bullies, who were once her friends, for sleepovers under his roof before they began bullying his daughter.

“This group of girls came to stay over at my house over Christmas and New Years,” he explained, “and from what I understand, sometime in January, there was some kind of text exchange in the group chat where the girl tried to kick her out. And from what I understand, that seemed to be a pattern of behavior for this girl. And then I understood even more after that, that this seemed to be a pattern of behavior for this girl.”

Fred Walters alleged that after JM had made Jocelyn feel comfortable confessing things or showing weaknesses, JM would attack her and try to isolate her from their mutual group of friends.

Jocelyn first attempted suicide in March 2022, a few months before her death. After her first suicide attempt, she was hospitalized and treated.

“While Jocelyn was in the hospital…JM posted about Jocelyn in a group chat the next day: 'I wonder if she's going to get back at me…I honestly am going to keep bashing her until she actually does something to me that will embarrass her,'” the lawsuit alleges.

The lawsuit further alleges that after Jocelyn was hospitalized in August 2022, she was referred to a nurse at a psychiatric clinic, who “negligently doubled the amount of antidepressant medication Jocelyn was taking without knowing about it” and “failed to inform Jocelyn's parents of Jocelyn's emergency condition.”

Jocelyn had reported the visits to the school nurse the day before and the day of her death, but “the nurse failed to take appropriate action given Jocelyn's history and failed to inform Jocelyn's parents about the visits,” the lawsuit alleges.

“A few hours later, on September 9, 2022, Jocelyn took her own life,” the lawsuit states. “Shortly thereafter, JM texted Jocelyn about her death:[s]He's dead, so stop arguing about it.”

Jocelyn's family alleges that she, her sister, parents and friends reported the bullying she was experiencing both at and outside of school, but their concerns were ignored, and school officials allegedly failed to punish students who participated in the harassment that led to Jocelyn's suicide.

Following Jocelyn's death, on Oct. 26, 2022, Middletown North High School sent a letter to her parents acknowledging that Jocelyn “may have been the victim of bullying behavior” and that the school had begun an investigation into these allegations.

“[T]The district found no evidence that Joslyn was the target of any of the harassing, intimidating or bullying conduct covered by the investigation.”

“After careful review of the evidence generated by the investigation, the District has found no evidence that Jocelyn was the target of the harassing, intimidating or bullying behaviors investigated,” the letter states.

“Bullying is not going to stop easily unless appropriate discipline is administered,” Walters' lawyer, Jeffrey Youngman, told Fox News Digital.

“Kids respond to discipline,” he said. “Discipline is a personal deterrent and a broader deterrent. But if you don't provide any discipline at all, it just encourages kids' behavior. And that's what happened here. No one was disciplined.”

The day Jocelyn died started like any other school day. Fred Walters had dropped his two daughters off at school that morning and gone to work. After school, Jocelyn's sister went to a concert with a friend, but Walters couldn't get in touch with Jocelyn, despite calling and texting her.

He assumed she had been taking a nap in her room because she was busy with sports and her job at the local beach boardwalk. She was also feeling fatigued due to an increased dose of medication. However, when Fred Walters opened her bedroom door that afternoon, he found her dead.

“I felt like the medicine was a huge factor.”

“That's an image that I'm trying so hard to put out there and from the beginning I felt like the drugs were a huge factor,” he said.

The lawsuit notes that while the national suicide rate for 10-24 year olds didn't change significantly between 2001 and 2007, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recorded a 62% increase in suicides in this age group between 2007 and 2021. Among girls, 30% say they have seriously considered suicide, up 60% since 2011, according to CDC data.

According to CDC data, 30% of girls said they had seriously considered suicide, a 60% increase from 2011 (Family Handout).

The complaint also states:[t]Despite the lack of compelling evidence that the benefits of antidepressants outweigh the risks and treatment-associated suicide remaining a major concern, antidepressant use in children and adolescents has increased significantly since 2005.”

The school board and district said they do not comment on pending litigation.

The committee instituted a cell phone ban in schools across the district on June 26, citing research showing that when students are barred from cell phone use for the entire day, their academic performance improves, suicidal thoughts drop significantly, harassment and bullying decrease, and they become more socially active.

“We intend to respond to these allegations solely through the legal process,” said Eric Harrison, an attorney for the school district and board of education.

Fred Walters believes failures “at every step” led to Jocelyn's death.

“I'm fighting for my daughter and through this all I've seen is so much failure.”

“These girls started trying to kick her out, cancel her enrollment, and the adults in the room aren't doing their jobs and following really failed policies and politics and paperwork to avoid their own accountability,” he said. “I'm fighting for my daughter, and all I see with this is a lot of failure… and then there are other parents who come to me with issues that aren't being addressed because the parents are isolated.”

Now, Walters wants to continue preserving his daughter's name and memory while pursuing justice: He's founded a nonprofit called 99 Smiles, which aims to normalize conversations and expand resources around youth mental health.

He told the audience: “Last week I felt like I was dying. I was very uncomfortable and scared. It felt like I had chest bronchitis. I felt like I might not be able to breathe, I might not make it through the night, I might have to go to hospital.”

He continued, “It makes you realise how precious this life is. How lucky we are to be alive on this planet where we get to travel and play for such incredible people, like the people who are in this room tonight. So this was an emotional experience. I won't forget it anytime soon, and we won't forget this night anytime soon.”

There have been rumors circulating online that the grunge legends have cancelled shows due to poor ticket sales, but fans have come to the band's defence after hearing his speech.

One X user wrote: “I just listened to the audio of Ed's speech where he talked about his illness. I haven't seen it on YouTube yet but will share it when I do. If after hearing this you're still convinced it was cancelled due to ticket sales then I have nothing more to say.”

In a statement apologizing for canceling their Berlin show last week, the band said: “We understand the impact of this decision. We are acutely aware that so many people have acquired tickets and invested their time, money and emotional energy to see the band, and it is heartbreaking to have to disappoint you all.”

The band had already cancelled their June 29 show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London due to illness.

Eddie has previously had to cancel shows due to damage to his voice and throat.

The group still has tour dates remaining in North America, Australia and New Zealand.

BTS members Jimin and Jungkook have been taking charts around the world by storm with their latest and past releases, showcasing their immense influence and popularity.

Billboard released its latest chart rankings on July 9th. Jimin's pre-release track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)” from his second solo album “MUSE” debuted at No. 88 on the “Hot 100” chart. Amazingly, this achievement was achieved solely through digital sales and music video views, highlighting Jimin's extraordinary fanbase. The song also topped the “World Digital Song Sales” chart, ranking No. 3 in “Digital Song Sales” and No. 7 in “Global (Excluding the U.S.),” as well as No. 16 on the “Global 200.”

In addition, the title track “Like Crazy” from Jimin's first solo album “FACE,” released in April last year, has made a remarkable rise in the rankings, reaching 60th place on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart and 108th place on the Global 200 chart.

Jungkook continues to shine on the Billboard charts. His solo single “Seven (feat.
